Almost all children and teenagers, sometimes also adults, love to play video games. And almost every parent tries to convince their children to stop playing video games for many reasons. So, are video games good or bad? There are lots of cons for playing video games, however, there are also lots of pros.
Disadvantages of playing video games:
1. Video games can make people more violent
Games such as Fortnite and Pub-G and many others can make children more violent. It increases their aggressive behavior.
2. Video games may decrease players' ability to concentrate
Researches show that children who play video games can't remain focused as they should.
3. Video games can become addictive
Children that are addicted to playing video games don't interact with others alot, so they often have social and psychological problems.
Now, let us talk about the advantages of playing video games:
1. Video games improve basic visual processes
Children who play video games has better eye sight than those who don't. Experiments show that children who play video games can see up to 50 shades of gray!
2. Video games can enhance executive functioning
Video games help to improve its players' skills; such as multitasking and their mental flexibility.
3. Video games can improve everyday skill
Playing video games has been found to enhance hand-eye coordination, lengthen attention spans and improve both working memory and rapid decision-making abilities.
